Evenings of cultural entertainment are held on Wednesday nights for tourists throughout the summer in the Harris Hotel (Tarbert) where Bill's slide shows are combined with the services of the young (and not so young) singers and crafts people in the island.
Bill can also be booked to give slide shows featuring the Hebridean islands, including his own unique slides of Scarp, Taransay, St Kilda and Pabbay. He also has slides of Canada and parts of the USA.
In addition, Bill offers lectures on Genealogy and the History of the Western Isles and the Emigration areas in which islanders settled.
In November 2003, he was one of the speakers at a gathering in Pinehurst, North Carolina, of Carolina Scots.
In May 2004, Bill lectured at Niagara and Thunder Bay in Canada.
For 2005, he went to British Columbia and Edmonton.
